Rob has his Degree in Music Education from Schenectady County Community College. He studied vibraphone with Thomas A. Brown and swing/bebop drumming with Andrew Cyrill. He also studied world rhythms with Trilok Gurtu, whose credits include John Mclaughlin, Joe Zawinul and Pat Metheny, among others.

Rob has been passing his knowledge on as a private instructor for 32 years. He has extensive musical theater experience at Capitol Rep, SPAC, Cohoes Music Hall, Bennington College, and has also performed with Nick Brignola, Lew Soloff, Dion Warwik, Eddie Money and Empire Jazz Orchestra.
