In the fall of 2008 Eric entered the College of Saint Rose where he studied saxophone with Paul Evoskevich as well as flute and clarinet with Lenore Snow.

During his tenure in Albany, NY he performed with many groups in the area including Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, Eric Binder Trio and The Joey Thomas Big Band, while also heading groups under his own name. Upon receiving his degree in Music Education, Eric accepted a contract with Princess Cruise Lines as the ships Woodwind Specialist.

In 2014, Eric returned to dry land and moved to Brooklyn, New York where he continued his career as Band Director at the Seeall Academy and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk school district. In addition to teaching, Eric performed with various groups at various venues throughout the NYC area.  Eric is currently a Band Director in the Colonie Central School District and teaches Saxophone and Clarinet at Blue Sky Music Studios.
