Engineering Classes, taught in our Professional Recording Studio!

Do you make your own recordings, but don't know why they don't sound 'professional'? Do you do live sound, or control the sound for your own band, or at your church and know that it can sound better but don’t know how? Will you be going to school for audio engineering, and want to get the most out of your tuition by getting your feet wet ahead of time? Blue Sky's Audio Engineering Classes are taught by Blue Sky’s owner/award winning engineer/producer Scott Apicelli, and will take you from the basics of acoustics through to advanced mixing and mastering techniques.

Classes will cover such topics as:

• Sound & Acoustics
• Mixing Consoles / Signal Flow
• Microphones & Miking Techniques
• Equalization (All types & techniques)
• Compressors & Noise Gates
• Delays, Reverbs, Flanges & Chorus Effects
• Mixing / Mastering Techniques
• Digital Theory & Technology

Any Level!

Both beginners and those with experience are welcome. Even if you currently have some knowledge and experience, there's still plenty to learn, as both the equipment and the techniques are thoroughly discussed. While all topics are touched on, our audio classes are also tailored to the needs and desires of the students, and critique/analysis of students' work is welcome and encouraged. Student ages range from 14 to retired.
