Control Room (A bit about the equipment & software)
Q: How do we capture your music?
A: First, in the analog stage, we start with our generous mic collection (Neuman, AKG, Electrovoice, Audio Technica, CAD, Sennheiser & Shure among others). Then, we send it through high-end pre-amps and compressors (Manley, Summit, ATI, Urei, & TL Audio, among others). Next, we convert to digital using RME 24 bit converters. The signal then gets recorded onto hard disc using Samplitude software.
Q: Why Samplitude?
A: Besides its wonderful editing & mixing capabilities, Samplitude can record & process at 32 bit giving 8 extra bits of headroom (hotter level=higher bit resolution=more detail). Additionally, it's completely compatible with other 24 bit programs such as Pro Tools, Cakewalk, Digital Performer, etc.

Editing
Samplitude is powerful software. We can change the pitch of one note, or rhythmically tighten up a whole band. We can combine the best sections of several takes, or change the tempo of one bar...anything's possible!
Testimonial - "My recording experience at Blue Sky was very positive. The studio provided a relaxed atmosphere that made us all feel right at home. Scott & Jason paid close attention to detail every step of the way and I was very pleased with the end results. I plan on recording my next project at Blue Sky and would recommend the studio to anyone looking for a place to record." - Brian Patneaude
