Violin, Fiddle, Guitar

Eric was Suzuki trained on violin from the age of 4, later studying with Leo Mahigan, the concert master for the Albany Symphony. With an arranging degree from Berklee College of Music (Dean’s List), and guitar as his principal instrument, Eric returned to violin for graduate work at the College of St. Rose with string chair Linda Hanley as his instructor.

A longtime local performer, Eric has played in many popular local bands including ‘Hair of the Dog’, of which he has been a member since 1999. In addition to teaching violin, guitar and mandolin, Eric has also created his own fiddle program (Celtic, bluegrass, old time) culled from his own transcriptions and many instructional method books.
