Anna

Violin / Viola / Cello

Anna is a recent graduate from Siena College (Summa Cum Laude) with her bachelor's degree in creative arts and minor in English. As a scholar of music with a concentration in violin and sacred music, she has enjoyed working with populations of all ages.

Anna has played the violin for fifteen years and has performed in venues throughout the Northeast such as Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory, Kodak Hall at the Eastman School of Music, and Troy Music Hall. Anna has studied violin under the direction of Ann-Marie Barker Schwartz for five years and organized a full-length violin recital as her senior capstone project at Siena College. The performance featured repertoire representing an array of time eras and cultures and included two works by female composers.

Additionally, Anna has worked as a student conductor for the Siena College Chorus and Chamber Singers and is currently a teaching assistant at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for the Treble and Troubadour children’s choirs. Anna’s goal as a violin instructor is not only to teach her students the technical skills required to play the violin well, but also to teach them to become skilled musicians and lifetime lovers of music.
